Curriculum & Course Development

Throughout her career, Prof. van der Westhuizen has developed new courses and academic programs. Early on, she founded the Garden Route Tourism Academy (2002–2006), where she designed accredited curricula for tourism and business skills training. 

At UKZN, she has coordinated programs like the Postgraduate Diploma in Management and the coursework M.Com in Management, ensuring their content stays relevant to industry needs. She continually updates her course material with insights from her research in entrepreneurial leadership and systems thinking, providing students with cutting-edge knowledge.
